Baby Dipper Bowl Review and Giveaway! CLOSED!!

Standard

I recently saw this bowl being reviewed on my sister’s blog What Mama Wants.. I had to have one! So I contacted the designer/owner of this company and asked if I could please review one! Barbara was more then happy to send me one! I LOVE this bowl and I really wish I had had one for all my kids when they were little babies learning to eat! The bottom has a non skid base so it doesn’t slide around, and the bowl itself it triangular shaped with a slop going into one corner. As you can see in the picture above with the peas, the food goes down that little slope, and the corner fits the fork and spoon that come with the bowl perfectly! This allows toddlers learning to self feed to get every last scrap of applesauce out easily! And mom’s with only two arms when they need four to easily feed a baby with one hand! The spoon and fork are just perfect for little pudgy fingers to use!

Here is the bowl set that I got:

Mealtime around here is a crazy hectic time, and so I wasn’t able to get any pictures of Putter’s using her bowl. Sorry. But I can say that she can feed herself an entire meal without the bowl sliding off the table onto the floor, which is always nice when she is eating cereal or oatmeal! She can hold and use the spoon and fork very easily and I love that they are soft, so she can’t hurt herself, or anyone else for that matter, with them! I would recommend this set to any mom or dad with babies learning to eat or self feed! This bowl set is BPA, lead and phthalate free, which is very important now days!

I only wish they came in a larger size for older babies. Other then that, there is nothing about this bowl set that I do not love!

You can buy a Baby Dipper Bowl for your little one, or a friends, here at Barbara’s website. These would make really great baby shower gifts!

OR

Barbara has very nicely offered you all a chance to win one here!

Oh, Washable Markers, How I Love Thee!!

Standard

I just had to post these pictures of Putt Putt really getting into our craft project! When the kids do art in school, I usually get her a paper and some crayons. I tape the paper to the table so it doesn’t fall off and she happily scribbles away while the older kids complete their projects. This time though she was NOT content with the crayons.. she wanted those MARKERS!! I am so glad they were washables!! :O) Check this out!

Isn’t that adorable!! No she isn’t sticking the pencil up her nose though it looks that way! Haha..

Happy almost New Year to all!!

Be Blessed..

"Sweet Nighty Night" KaWaii Goodnight Diaper Review #3

Standard

I have been using my KaWaii Goodnight diaper for a little over three weeks now. I love this diaper. It is such a bright cheery color, and holds in everything and then some. It is still getting softer with each wash. The inserts are fluffy, and remain stain free even after several very messy diapers that I thought for sure would stain! It has been a very crazy hectic time here with two birthday’s, Christmas, moving, the kids being away, and everything else that is going on. I am sure with all that the diapers are getting a run for their money! I know that this morning Putter’s was up and about for almost two hours, before it suddenly hit me.. Oh, maybe you need a diaper change! So she had been wearing the KaWaii for well over twelve hours, and with a full cup of juice and a nursing session just before bed, that diaper was LOADED, but leak free!

I do still wish I had gotten the snaps though! It is very warm inside where we have been, and I would love to leave Putters in just a tee shirt and diaper, but she loves to pull off the Velcro!

All in all, there is nothing about this diaper that makes me say I will not buy another, or two, or three! :o) And nothing beats the price! I hope to someday try a regular KaWaii to see if they are as well made. Hint Hint..

My next post will be when we get all moved and settled in our temporary home, and that will be my giveaway post! Hopefully that will be soon! We will be packing up here on Thursday, so I should post that on Friday or Saturday! I am so sorry that this past couple weeks has been so crazy and messed up!! I can’t wait to get back to a regular schedule!

Be Blessed…

Radius Toothbrush Review and Giveaway!! CLOSED!!

Standard

In 11.5 years of marriage my husband has never said a thing about the toothbrushes I have bought. Unless he didn’t like them.. but since I always get the same kind I have only heard that once when that kind was unavailable. Now I have overheard him telling his friends about this toothbrush my wife got me! “It’s amazing!” And what toothbrush would that be? The Radius Scuba! I saw a review for two of these on another blog, and thought hmm, so I sent Radius off an email asking to do a review. Came back to the computer and they had sent me an email asking me to review 2 toothbrushes at the same time I sent them one.. :o)

I got our toothbrushes in the mail just a few days later. I picked the Intelligent Toothbrush, and got Hubs a Scuba. I love that mine has a timer.. I can tell the kids, it hasn’t beeped yet go away. I also love that it has a light on the bottom that turns from green to red after 180 uses to tell you to check the bristles and replace the head if needed. I always forget when I bought toothbrushes, and so I am probably always buying new ones long before needed! The Scuba is a Mouth Brush. It covers everything! I love that the Scuba brushes last for 9 months rather then the average 3, but they are not more expensive then any other good toothbrush!

I couldn’t get the About Us info from the Radius website to copy and paste like I wanted so I will just give you the link. The background on this company is pretty interesting! They started in the Caribbean Island of Tortola! There is even a beautiful island picture to go gaze at and wish you were there!

Radius makes adult toothbrushes, toothbrushes that are 93% recycled material, you just replace the heads, not the entire toothbrush to prevent more landfill garbage, kids toothbrushes, baby toothbrushes, travel cases, for several different items, with a 2 million opening warranty, cranberry floss, and even a folding travel brush! That was a really long run on sentence, sorry! Cranberries have been shown to actually heal dental decay! I only buy toothpaste with cranberry extract for my kids now, so this floss is about to become a house staple!

Here are the toothbrushes that Radius sent to us to review:

"Sweet Nighty Night" KaWaii Goodnight Diaper Review #2

Standard

I am here today with the KaWaii Goodnight Review Number 2! I know you have all been waiting for it! Today I want to talk about washing and drying. Maybe some other things..LOL

This diaper washes really easily. Putter’s really put it to the test the other day with a poopsplosion, which I thought for SURE was gonna stain! But one cold rinse and there was nothing there. I have found though, as with all my diapers with micro fleece lining, that I have really rinse this type of diaper well or they repel. My washer does a HORRIBLE job of rinsing. So I have four diapers, that I always have to leave in the washer when I pull all the others out, and rinse them by themselves another time. It dries in one cycle, sometime the inserts take an extra twenty minutes, but I think that has more to do with how many diapers I am washing then the inserts, since this does not happen every time. I love the laundry tabs.. they are really strong, and they hold through both wash and dry. IF I remember to close them! I will be picking lint out of hook and loop today.. oops.

Also before use, this diaper weighed 6 oz. After a full night’s wear, by our own beautiful Putt Putt, it weighed in a 17 oz! I do have to tell you that I helped her try this out a little with a full sippy cup of apple juice just before bed. She was awake at 7 am asking me to change her diaper. It was very full! But the lining felt dry.

I still can’t get over that fact that this diaper which seems to be as well made as others, looks a lot like others, has fabulously soft linings and absorbent inserts like others, has stronger hook and loop closures then others, is just a fraction of the price of others! I keep waiting for it to fall apart, or melt or something… but nope. It is doing it’s job wonderfully and keeping it’s youthful looks while working hard too!! And I have put this thing to the test! Believe me!

SO until the next segment.. goodbye!

Be Blessed..
