This is an email I got today asking for help…

I’m not sure if you’ve heard of or have used Scentsy, and if you haven’t I’d love you to try our product. I know you do reviews and such and may not do this on your site without trying it but I wanted to tell you about this special and VERY limited cancer fundraiser. I sell for Scentsy and this was a big hit, I want to sell as many of these warmers as possible to help Scentsy donate even more money to cancer foundations
I just wanted to let you know what Scentsy has done. They have decided to re release the past 2 cancer charity warmers on May 1st. They are only available while supplies last.
The last cause warmer was the Breast Cancer warmer and they donated over $600,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation from the proceeds of the warmers. The other warmer is the Sunshine Kids Warmer. The Sunshine Kids Foundation has been providing positive, exciting group activities for children receiving cancer treatments in hospitals over North America, at no charge to the kids and their parents, since 1982. I’m not sure how much money was donated to that foundation, as it was before my time with Scentsy.
Scentsy is all about paying it forward. I just wanted you and everyone else to know about these awesome warmers. Visit my website on May 1st to ensure you get one. It will be under the Closeout Items portion on the left side of the page (after you’ve clicked the buy tab on the main page). www.HerWicklessWonder.scentsy.us
Thank you so much! I’m not sure if you want to share it or not on FB but I just wanted to make you aware 🙂 My facebook business page is Heather Emmert-Independent Scentsy Consultant.

Mama Day Giveaway!! Scentsy Review and Giveaway!! CLOSED!!!

Standard

I was sent this beautiful Scentsy warmer and three scents to review by Jamie McCool, Independent Scenty Consultant….

I have to say the whole Scentsy thing was not something I wanted to get into… I mean, who needs another addiction, when you have cloth diapers to be addicted to. I have even heard of people selling their cloth to buy more Scentsy!! That was beyond anything my mind could comprehend! But now… well I am addicted…

I have to tell you all.. we live in a 12 apartment two level complex. I have had people from ALL the way across the building and upstairs come down here to ask me what I was baking!! When people walk by our apartment I can hear them saying, “It always smells SO good in there! She must always be baking!” The scent is light though, and not overwhelming at all!

I have only tried one scent so far, Mochadoodle! I am amazed that there is still almost as much wax as there was when I started using it over a week ago! I turn my Scentsy warmer on when I wake up and turn it off when we go to bed, so it is on almost 14 hours a day and the warmer is still almost full! AMAZING!! I can’t wait to try the Baked Apple Pie scent! Of course then I would probably be forced to actually bake a pie. I also received Black Raspberry Vanilla scent! Mmmm!!

You can buy Scentsy products from Jamie at her online Scentsy Store.

Jamie has generously offered a blessed reader a Scentsy warmer and three scents. This is the warmer that Jamie will be giving away. This is the Angora Warmer from the Isabella Collection. Jamie will pick 3 of the most popular scents to go with it. You will love them!!

Mama Day Giveaway!!! Strawberries ‘N’ Sunshine Unpaper Towels Review and Giveaway!! CLOSED!!!

Standard

I rearranged my review schedule to bring you all a couple fun giveaways for Mama’s Day!! First up I have some UnPaper Towels from Strawberries ‘N’ Sunshine!! When I first got them… I have to admit, my first thought was, “These will make great wipes!” And while in an emergency I used one for a wipe, and it worked, I have to say they are GREAT in the kitchen! They are absorbent, just the right size for the kids and me to use, and they wash clean with no staining! I put them to the test right away with cleaning our table after my 6 kids ate. My family jokes about meal time here being like feeding time on the Serengeti, you can imagine the mess!! I will definitely be on the lookout for more unpaper towels in the future!! Of course now I have to find a wet bag that will hang on my stove to put my used unpaper towels in. :O)

These are the towels I received for review!

These are new products and Amy has not added them to her store yet, but they will be in there soon! In the meantime you can find some really adorable diapers and covers, some Mama cloth, doublers and inserts, wet bags, and lunch kit bags, like snack and sandwich bags and more! Amy also sews products like Mama Cloth to send to places like Cuba! That is so cool! Makes me wish I could sew! Somewhat…

They are very well sewn.

You can buy your own unpaper towels when they are added to the store, OR Amy is giving away a set to one blessed reader!! Thank you Amy and Happy Mama Day To All!!

THIS GIVEAWAY ENDS FRIDAY MAY6th, AT 4:00 P.M. PST!!

Wonderfully Elegant WINNER!!!

Standard

Yesterday morning I woke up with a slight headache and some pressure above my eyes. My noon, I was on the couch pretty much in tears for the rest of the day. Extra strength Tylenol did NOTHING and I finally resorted to taking one of the pain pills they gave me after my surgery. That knocked me out, after making me dizzy and loopy for a while! They are stronger then Vicodin, and I have trouble with Tylenol so you can imagine! I finally admitted, I have a sinus infection and spent about an hour with a hot pad over my face, and then sitting in the bathroom with the hot water running for steam. The headache was horrific yesterday, and I am praying that the slight headache I have today won’t again turn into that nightmare!! We are moving into an upstairs and larger (with ocean view!!) apartment today and tomorrow, so I kind of need to be able to help!!

The winner of the Wonderfully elegant candle is Number 24!!! Congrats Anne Perry!!

It’s Just A Cat

Standard

I love the blog called MckMama! It is always very well written, funny, and usually starts some great “discussions”. She is very forthright in what she says. Tells it like it is. Today, she has a great post titled, “It’s Just A Cat!” I have always felt this way… while we love our pets, they are just pets. They are not humans, they are not more important then humans. At times there are people that put animals in a place above humans. This is wrong.

We were put here on this Earth, by God, to care for all that He created. It states so in Genesis. It also states that were are a little lower then God, and above all that He created. MckMama is now being fired at because her cat is expecting! She is being called irresponsible. It amazes me! This is a family that has traveled to Africa, and helped those WAY less fortunate then any of us are or ever will be! They help provide clean drinking water all around the world to families who don’t have drinkable water. And they do more. But they are irresponsible because they have a pregnant cat!? The cat hasn’t even given birth yet, and people already assume that these kittens will be rushed away to some animal shelter doomed to die! I mean, really!!

Another blog, that MckMama posted about, Single Dad Laughing, the poor guy is under fire because he is looking for a new dog! I remember taking our dogs to our local shelter because we could not find a home to rent that accepted pets. We tried for weeks, and were down to three days before our move date, before we finally decided that a home for our children was more important then having our dogs! Did we hate that decision?! YES! But for the sake of our children, we did something that was unbelievably hard to do. The local shelter here was great and found both our dogs great new homes, and they are better taken care of now then when we had them! When we moved out into the country, we adopted another dog. She has been a great part of our life, and fits perfectly into our family. But, if it came between her and the kids.. she would be out in a heartbeat. We gave one dog away because he bit my son when he got too close to his dog food. Another dog cost us hundreds in dollars because she chewed everything she could get a hold of, including walls, and even dug a hole in our floor once. It has taken us several years, and several dogs to find the perfect dog for us. We always took great care to make sure our dogs went to good homes when they didn’t fit in with our family. And I am sure that Single Dad Laughing did too.

But everyone misses the picture. Everyone gets all upset about the pregnant cat, or that dog that didn’t fit in, and misses the real point. The kids that will get a major life lesson about life and birth when that cat has it’s kittens. Or the lesson they will learn when it’s time to find good homes. The lesson of taking care of a loved pet, even when it’s time for that pet to move on. The lesson that not EVERY dog or cat is for you! A lesson that animal hoarders missed out on maybe?

People miss the fact that while, yes, animals are uselessly being put to sleep, thousands of children every day are starving, going without education, dying from lack of clean water, or bad medical care. Millions of babies are being killed without even a chance at life. But let’s all waste our time and energy letting some mother know how irresponsible she is because she let her cat get pregnant!!

I very rarely get into “discussions” such as this, and I even more rarely post about stuff like this. But frankly, it mad me mad. We bloggers blog to tell about OUR life. To have a “log” we can look back at later, and say “wow, I almost forgot all about that day!” Not to called irresponsible, or sent threatening messages! If you don’t like what we write about, go find another blog to read. Or write your own. It just always amazes me that everyone is entitled to their own opinions as long as that opinion matches theirs. We have freedom of speech as long as our speech coincides with theirs. We can believe what we want as long as we believe what they do.

Sorry if this post offends anyone, but I just had to say something!! I have been really blessed with readers who allow me to have my own thoughts and opinions, and not fired at me because I do something I choose to do. And I really do appreciate that! It almost makes me feel guilty that I have such great readers… it still amazes me that I have readers at all! I would love it if you guys could take a moment or two and go send these guys some love. They really are amazing people, who do a lot of good even if they let their cat get pregnant or decide to get a new dog. :O)

If anyone is looking for a new kitten, make sure you let MckMama know!

Be Blessed…
