Amy Adele Calling Cards Review!

Standard

I have been looking for some totally adorable calling cards to call my own. After checking out some other pages, I was really happy to run across Amy Adele. Her calling cards are printed on 100% recycled paper, and she even packs them in Eco-friendly peanuts made from 100% cornstarch. The kids even tested them to make sure they actually disintegrated under water! They did! ONE child even went so far as to eat one to prove it was safe… I don’t recommend this testing to other parents!

I didn’t get pictures of the peanut testing. Sorry.

I am very happy with my personalized calling cards. They look very professional, and don’t state on the back how cheaply I got them for. A major drawback for me on other sites. I also like the fact they are slightly smaller then business cards and come with envelopes. They are great to pop in a giveaway prize package, or to pass out as needed.

It was also very easy to personalize my cards. There are so many designs to chose from that it took me a awhile! I finally settled on this cute monkey print called Two Monkeys Calling Card.

SO, if you one the lookout for some totally adorable Personalized Calling Cards, or birthday invites, or stationary, or labels, check out Amy Adele.com… you won’t regret it!

Be Blessed…

The Willow Store – Wool Dryer Ball Review! CLOSED!!!

Standard

I LOVE my dryer balls…. I have two kinds. One that I reviewed MONTHS ago, and they are HUGE. Which is nice in some ways. They don’t get lost in the laundry. They are too big for the dog to eat. But still… they are big. So, I was very happy when I received these cute little dryer balls from the Willow Store.  They are small, unscented, and perfectly colored. Those of you that know me, know that I LOVE Mexico. I spent as much time there as I could as a teenager, working in our church’s orphanage. I was even on staff for a summer. I would love to go back. But in the meantime, every time I toss a load into my dryer and see the colors of the Mexican flag, I am reminded to pray for those beautiful children there. Here is what I received for review:

Dryer balls are great for a few reasons. One, they reduce the amount of time it takes for your clothes to dry, saving energy, which saves you money! Two, they work like dryer sheets, so your clothes come out static and wrinkle free. 3. They don’t contain the chemicals that dryer sheets are soaked in to do these same things!

You can get scented dryer balls if you want your clothes to smell like something. Every time I get a scent I like though, someone else always complains about how their clothing smells. 😮 Cause that’s just life…. So I choose  unscented for the most part. I am about to tell those certain someones to suck it up though, because I really want to test out a re-scenting kit 😮

My kids love the dryer balls too, and won’t start the dryer unless every one of my 5 dryer balls are in it! Even Putter’s knows how many are supposed to  be there, and if one is missing she says UH-OH and goes searching! I love that they love those little things that make our house greener and safer for them! Our clothes come out soft, wrinkle, static and chemical FREE! What more could you ask for! And these things work for FOREVER!! No need to buy a new box of dryer sheets every other week!

Pretty!!

The Willow Store also manufactures and sells cloth diapers, training pants, mama cloth, laundry nuts, a postpartum kit and much more!

You can buy wool dryer balls from

The Willow Store

For $6.95 each OR $19.95 for a set of three!

The Willow Store has generously offered one lucky reader a set of three mixed colored wool dryer balls! Thank you Willow Store!

Country Kids Training Pants Review and Giveaway! CLOSED!!

Standard

Country Kids sent me a set of training pants to review, one night time pant and one day time pant. They are really adorable. They are VERY absorbent in case of accidents.

I have to be honest though, because I have always promised to be! I found them to be a little difficult for my 2 yr old to pull up and down, and she has reached that stage where she must do it herself, they are also somewhat bulky and they take awhile to dry. I do wish that both pairs came with side snaps to make the night time trainer easier to take off when there is an accident.

I have to add though that the small problems I have with them are WAY outweighed by the good!

Because… Putter’s LOVES them, and always asks for them to be put on. And I can’t blame her, because for all my thoughts on them, good or bad, she is the one wearing them, and they ARE super soft and comfy and “too toot.” In her words. And these reviews can’t always be about what I think, especially when I am not the one actually using the product! At times I wish she could type, then she could share what she feels about something!

Here they are…

Lisa at country kids has this to say about her life:

“I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful children. I love to craft and sew and garden. We live on a small farm in western Wisconsin. In addition to raising babies, we raise beef and lamb and have too many pets including chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, goats, horses, mules, rabbits, and a couple of crazy cats.

I learned to sew as a child and started sewing again why my first child was born. One day I stumbled across an article on cloth diapering and making cloth diapers and trainers became an obsession!”

Wow, and I thought having just a dog to care for took a lot of time! I don’t know where she finds the time to sew and craft and her blog is a treasure trove of laughter and cute stories as well as great crafting ideas and more for those of you who do those things! These trainers are superbly made, the seams are very strong, and I have not found any dropped stitches. The snaps on the day time trainer are very strong and don’t pop open like other snaps I have had do! These are great trainers for beginning potty trainers because they will hold as much as a diaper in the case of accidents, or oops I completely forgot to take my child potty times! I do wish I had ordered the next size up so they will fit longer! They are great for going out and about when you may not be able to get to a restroom in time because they really do hold as much as a cloth diaper!

Lisa has also wonderfully offered a reader the chance to win an adorable daytime trainer, and she is offering FREE shipping for the rest of July on any orders over $25 to anyone who let’s her know I referred them to her site!

Thirsties Duo Wrap Review and Giveaway CLOSED!!!

Standard

Time for the Flats and Giveaway Challenge Giveaway Number Five!

Thirsties sent me this cute Duo Wrap to use during the Flats and Handwashing Challenge. I had at first asked for a Thirsties cover, then discovered that they didn’t come with snaps. Putter’s LOVES velcro.. she will sit ALL day opening and closing it. So thought I had to have a cover that snapped. Thirsties sent me this one instead. I loved it. I have tried it with pad, origami, kite and diaper bag folded flats and there was plenty of room for all. It even worked over a pad folded bamboo flat diaper inside a kite folded birdseye cotton diaper for night time. I have no had a single leak with this cover the entire challenge! And Putter’s really put it to the test, about half way through the week she got a little ill, and had some runny poo. The cover wiped clean very easily, and for the times I wanted it cleaner, I hand washed it in the sink and hung it to dry. It was ready to use again in just a few hours.

I have to say, that another company sent me a Thirsties hook  and loop closure cover to use too, and I actually really liked it. Even though Putters was able to get it off a couple times, the velcro was super strong and she really had to work at it. So either cover would be perfect for your fitted’s or flats. They both fit really well, I was able to get a snugger fit with the cover, but the wrap was pretty cute and stayed on! They will both definitely fit Putters beyond potty training!

You can buy these covers, along with pocket diapers, fitteds, prefolds, diaper detergent and more at the Thirsties website. or visit their retailer page to see if there is a retailer near you!

Thirsties has offered one blessed reader their choice of a Thirsties Duo Wrap or a cover, in your choice of solid or print!  Thank you Thirsties!!

Bambo Nature Eco Friendly Disposable Diaper WINNERS!

Standard

Wow that was really hard to choose! All your comments on diapers were GREAT! But I had to chose and so I did! The Grand Prize Winner were chosen by their comments and Runner Ups were chosen by Random.org!

Here are the 3 Runner Up Winners, You will each receive a package of Bambo Nature Disposable Diapers in your choice of size!!

First Runner Up Winner Is: Cali Number 11!!
“I follow via gfc and I use cloth diapers and I look for a good fit in a good diaper. after almost a year of using my cloth diapers, I think I should strip them, but I wasn’t sure what I was going to use during this process, so these diapers would be a great alternative during this time. I also use disposables with newborns…because frankly I am tired and not doing laundry during this time…and since I am now expecting my second child. I’ve been trying to find a diaper that I could use during the first couple weeks, without making me feel completely guilty about using a disposable.”

Second Runner Up Winner Is: Mama Chocolate Number 22!
“I’m a public GFC follower, and one of the things I look for in disposables (for those times when they come in handy!) is no stinky chemicals! I can’t believe how much more a disposable stinks than a cloth diaper, just because of the nasty chemicals.”

The first thing I noticed about the Bambo Nature Diapers, when I opened them, was that there was literally NO smell!! No chemical smell, nothing! I was amazed just by that! The last package of disposables I bought, the smell made my stomach turn it was so strong! :O)

Third Runner Up Winner Is: Jenilee Number 25!!
“I look for absorbency and safety in a diaper. After years of ignorance, I have learned that all diapers are NOT equal. I love Bambo Nature. :)”

Now for the GRAND PRIZE WINNERS!! You will both receive a CASE of Bamboo Nature Disposable Diapers in your choice of size.

First Grand Prize Winner Is: TubbyTelly Number 13!!
I look for diapers that have the least amount of chemicals because I have an allergy-laden/sensitive-skinned baby. I only use the “environmental” chlorine-free diapers. I think Bambo Nature would be a great allergy-free alternative to use.

Second Grand Prize Winner Is: Slang76 Number 42!!
My daughter has to wear disposables to daycare…and I would LOVE to find one that doesn’t give her a rash AND is better for the environment AND doesn’t send her poo into her socks 🙂

Because we all need diapers that don’t send poo into our babies socks!! That is one of the things every one of us looks for in a good diaper!! You will find what you are looking for in these diapers! I have not had a single leak or rash and they are much better for the environment then any other disposable you will find!

Congratulations to ALL the winners! Thank you everyone for your great comments! I wish you had all won! Thank you Bambo Nature for the great giveaway! I will be emailing the winners shortly, and you will have 48 hours to respond to claim your prize before I pick a new winner!

Be Blessed…
